SuperLumpeks (Międzynarodowy Festiwal Muzyki Tradycyjnej i Ludowej – Ethniesy)

The above-mentioned artists are known for their authentic approach to villagemusic-making, based on the tradition directly transmitted by its masters -village fiddlers, brass bands, drummers and singers.

In the new line-up named SuperLumpeks, the musicians’ experience and jazz sensitivity will combine into a rich dialogue between the old folk tradition and their contemporary interpretation. In their new courageous arrangements, the traditional obereks, mazurkas and polkas gain some fresh energy, at the same time remaining in the spirit of respect for the roots. In this way, SuperLumpeks combines the authentic power of folk melodies with the contemporary experimental spirit, blurring the boundaries between tradition and modernity.
