PRZYPOMNIJ Teacher: Jon Nguyen
Duration: 3 hours
This workshop is for all improvisers from beginners to those with years of experience. In it we will explore playing non-human characters and making the audience care about them beyond a single laugh. Looking at the different shapes our bodies can make both in isolation and as a team and various techniques to bring them to life in a fun and theatrical way.
● Making large creatures with multiple improvisers connecting physically
● Using our voices to convey monstrous tones
● Exploring the everyday with fantastical beings
Jon Nguyen (he/him) is a British / Vietnamese improviser who enjoys both heart felt and ridiculously silly improv in equal measure. He has trained with various improv schools in the United Kingdom and plays both narrative and scene based improv. Jon teaches for various improv institutions within the UK and has taught at international festivals bringing his own brand of delight, caring and whimsy. He truly endeavors to make improv inclusive, connected and fun both on and off stage.
